many little things
...i'm guessing this lj won't make it any closer to hipness in the next few weeks. mostly just doing update and reminding myself of things i got done or need to do.
kudos to thomryng for reminding me that apple incorporated adobe pdf distillation into OS X. so i can format the documents the way i want in textedit and then save them to a format almost any business office can open. for some stuff, i'll still need to produce word documents but it looks like i've got a line into that as well, thanks to an lj friend who will not be named under penalty of the digital millennium copyright act.... ; )
saved me along walk in the wind and rain this morning, although i still went out and made a couple of stops for groceries. my first state check came in yesterday. it reminded me of the old vaudeville joke "are you taking your check to the bank?"
"well, it's too little to go by itself!" [insert rimshot]
but i am moderately well provisioned. last night i updated my hotjobs account and will be updating my careerbuilder profile today. got some classified ads to go through. will surely get a few more apps today.
rehearsal this evening. also, got back from errands to find a box here from the nice ups people. unless i miss my guess, this will be the midi interface for my mac mini. the last of the hardware and software i wanted to do more composition. neatly coincides with running out of money to blow on retail therapy!
