After more than six weeks of spending every spare minute working on the new house, I'm finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and I cannot wait to get our weekends back.
I severely underestimated the response we got and I ended up pulling the listing less than 48 hours after it went up. Part of it was the timing, but also that rent was calculated based on square feet rather than the number of rooms. Plus, we advertised it as pet friendly when the norm in this area is to say no pets and then negotiate it later. We had been worried about how long it would take to find renters, but the lease was signed three weeks before it was even available so it all worked out perfectly.
Alex and I have been going to a new park halfway across town. He even asks to go to that park specifically by signing 'park' and 'car' because it's the park that we drive to. We're on an odd schedule for a toddler so the park is often empty when we're there, but Alex enjoys it anyway.
