Happy Easter Fool's Day!
Alex has been getting me up between 4 and 4:30 a.m. the last few days so this morning my body woke me up at 4 even though Alex didn't get me up until 5:30. I'm glad he sleeps through the night most nights now, but my mornings have been at least two hours earlier than when he woke up once or twice. There's always a trade off.
I got Alex some football shaped plastic eggs since he's been obsessed with sports, particularly football, lately. I filled them with treats and when Aaron got up, I hid them in the backyard and we had our own little egg hunt. Since it's April 1st, I added some trick chocolate to Alex's Easter basket. It's little plastic capsules with rubber critters inside wrapped up to look like candy. Alex got a worm and a tiny lizard and he's been carrying both around all day.
