Amusements Hurrah! I didn't have enough powdered sugar and actually ground the sugar down as stmcole suggested - it worked fantastically well.
I was briefly contemplating using up some ricotta I have to make the icing, and found a few Ricotta Cheese Icing recipes, but a friend of mine risked life and limb to visit me and was of the opinion that ricotta and lemon don't mix. Hmmm ... I could swear the best cheesecake I've ever had was a ricotta lemony concoction in France, but perhaps my tastebuds were confused.
All in all, a great spending of my time. Now to clean. And do homework. And figure out what I'm going to do with a cake that I'm sure looks small in the picture, but is actually quite large.
My quarantine is theoretically up tomorrow morning, but I vote for it being up before that! Anyone want potentially dangerous excitement in the form of hanging out with and eating cake made by a recent sufferer of gastro??
