The gala and all that followed it had been a success, they had spent the past three days studying every angle of the case that they could, they had been so focused that the tension, make that sexual tension from earlier that night have been easily ignored

He hadn't expected her back so soon, so as he stood in the kitchen, shirtless and eating an apple, he raised his eyebrows at the sound of the elevator, and turned to see her stepping inside. "How'd it go?" he asked curiously, taking a bite of the fruit and looking at her intently.

Chloe looked over at him as soon as she stepped inside, paused then looked at him again, "I don't know yet, won't hear anything until tomorrow, did you hear anything?"

He shook his head a little. "Not so far," he admitted, meeting her eyes.

Nodding, she walked over to the couch and set her laptop bag and purse down, "didn't think you would so soon, I guess we have to wait."

"I'm not old enough to be your dad, thankfully. Plus that'd just be really weird," he said cheerfully, amused by her response. He opened the fridge once more and pulled out another apple, handing it to her. "Try something fresh for a change. You might like it, Sidekick."

She took it from him and gave him a look, raising her eyebrows, "let me remind you that I spent a lot of time around the Kents growing up and I did have a lot of fruits and vegetables whenever I ate at their place."

He grinned brightly. "I wondered how you managed to survive all these years without real food. That explains it." He chuckled.

"Please," shrugging, she leaned back against the counter, "pizza is real food, so is mac and cheese." She took a bite of the apple and gave him a look, "besides, not all of us are talented in the kitchen."

The feel of her hands and arms against his bare skin made him groan, and he inhaled sharply when her legs wound around his waist. He slid a hand up and into her hair, pulling her even closer, so there was no space between them at all. He broke the kiss a moment later and his lips trailed down her neck.

Chloe moaned quietly and slid her fingers into his hair, holding on to it as she let her head drop back so he could have better access to her neck.

He smiled against her throat when she leaned back to give him better access and his tongue darted out, tasting her skin. He nibbled lightly, then trailed his lips lower, to her collarbone. His heart was pounding in his ears.

After a moment, she opened her eyes, gasping a little as she looked at him, feeling his lips on her at the same time, she shivered, tightening her hold on his.

Oliver held her gaze as he slid the shirt up and over her head, discarding it onto the counter. He smiled at her, then pulled her close once more, chest to breast and groaning softly at the contact. He dropped a kiss to her shoulder, forcing himself to take a deep breath.

Chloe had to take a deep breath herself, she didn't know how far things were going to go, but she didn't care, feeling his hands on her, his chest against hers, his mouth over her skin, she just wanted more of it. A lot more.

She lowered her mouth to his own neck, brushing her lower lip against his skin before biting gently on it.

Oliver gritted his teeth slightly at the feel of her lips and teeth scraping against his skin. He pulled her off the counter, supporting her easily in his arms as he lowered his lips to her neck again, as well.

Shivering, she tightened her legs around him and her arms too, sucking on his skin as she held on to him.

He groaned softly, instantly responding to the kiss and capturing her lips with his, his arms tightening around her more. He stumbled a little, bumping into the doorframe of his bedroom, then righting them, kicking the door shut behind him before carrying her to the bed and depositing her on it, lowering himself onto her without hesitation.

Gasping, she clung to him as he laid her down, breaking the kiss and looking up at him with wide eyes and taking a deep breath.

Oliver gazed down at her intently and offered her a smile. "You all right?"

Chloe smirked a little and took another deep breath, "not yet." Moving her legs to either side of him, she reached down and pushed his jeans down as far as she could, eyes on his.
