The gala and all that followed it had been a success, they had spent the past three days studying every angle of the case that they could, they had been so focused that the tension, make that sexual tension from earlier that night have been easily ignored

The feel of her hands and arms against his bare skin made him groan, and he inhaled sharply when her legs wound around his waist. He slid a hand up and into her hair, pulling her even closer, so there was no space between them at all. He broke the kiss a moment later and his lips trailed down her neck.

Chloe moaned quietly and slid her fingers into his hair, holding on to it as she let her head drop back so he could have better access to her neck.

He smiled against her throat when she leaned back to give him better access and his tongue darted out, tasting her skin. He nibbled lightly, then trailed his lips lower, to her collarbone. His heart was pounding in his ears.

After a moment, she opened her eyes, gasping a little as she looked at him, feeling his lips on her at the same time, she shivered, tightening her hold on his.

At her gasp, he paused and looked up at her, meeting her eyes momentarily, his own hazy with desire. "Do you want me to stop?" he murmured, resting a hand on her thigh and stroking it lightly without really being aware of his own actions.

She had to force her eyes open wider and take a deep breath before she could shake her head at him, his hand on her thigh causing her to tighten her legs around him, "no."

"Thank God," he responded, sliding his arms around her waist even as he lowered his mouth back to her collarbone once more, nibbling lightly as his hands slid beneath her shirt in the back. He groaned at how warm her skin was and all he could think was that he wanted to feel more of it.

A smirk appeared on her face and she ran her fingertips over his bare back, just the touch of his hands over her back and leg felt amazing, she couldn't imagine what the rest of it would feel like.

He shivered involuntarily as she slid her fingers lightly down his skin. "You know...this isn't exactly fair," he murmured, sliding her shirt up a little. He slid his hand a little higher. "I'm halfway undressed and you're...not..." He flicked his tongue out to taste her again.

"That's your own damn fault." She grinned, taking a deep breath and kicking off her shoes before pressing her heels against the back of his legs.

"Well, I vote we rectify this situation immediately," he told her with a slow grin, his gaze heated as he pulled away enough to look at her.

With a deep breath, she pulled back, looking at him for a moment before pulling her arms back, holding his gaze and lifting her arms above her head.
