Crafty things...
So instead of NaNoWriMo this year, I was going to do NaNo-Craft-Mo...or something to that effect for myself. I didn't exactly make it to 30 crafty things in a month, but I did finish up some cool felt ornaments and got a good start on a pretty awesome hat, if I do say so myself. (And thunder_nari asked for pictures, so here they be!)
This is the verrrry beginning of the hat (Click to see 'em bigger. Except not this one since it's much blurrier than I thought it was.)

And this is where I'm at now (it's going to be reversible, so you basically knit a big globe tuck half of it inside itself):

The embroidered/beaded felt ornaments!

This was the first one:
This one, you can kind of see I borked the top by punching the hole last and not getting it in the right spot. I'll probably remove the topper and redo it if I decide to give this batch as gifts.
I did the rest with nothing on the back, but this one, I found I was enjoying the beading so I tried doing some stripes of beads on the back.
At first I had the curve with beads on it as you can see here, but I decided that was too much and took them off (group pic above). This one I riffed off the book design and made it into my own design. The others (save the back of the bright pink one) are pretty closely exact to what the book's project photos/patterns were. Well, no, I guess I altered the first pink one as well. Anyhow. :)
...And for whatever reason I didn't take final individual photos of the blue and yellow ones even though those turned out by far the nicest since I finally figured out I didn't need to make the outside blanket stitch to close them up quite so thick or big as I did on the first three.
