sg1 s10.0 p2 reviewlets

I finally got around to watching the 4 remaining eps of SG-1's Season 10.0 that had been sitting on my HD for the past 3 months... Stargate is so much more enjoyable if you're watching a couple of eps in a row, or as is the case here, 4 eps in a span of 3 days.

counterstrike
another we-don't-know-what-to-do-with-the-jaffa storyline ep.

memento mori
that was an enjoyable episode! and hey, it featured some stunts!? heh. love me *any* Vala ep. oh and the oh-so-obvious-we're-not-even-trying-to-be-subtle Daniel/Vala shippiness!!!!! *giddy* although the Cam/Vala scenes were priceless for far-different-yet-obvious reasons *sigh*

company of thieves
this is such a vastly complicated storyline it almost doesn't feel like SG-1. one of the main reasons I was so entertained is that I don't think Mitchell to be invincible. whereas with Jack it was all fun and games with things being blown up; with Mitchell you just can't be sure if the plan is gonna work. and this plan of his: the trademark "I'm making it up as I go along" that is so reminiscent of this great character he used to play, worked so well. is it any wonder, the idea for this ep came from Ben Browder himself?
oh and I gotta say changing the credits, now featuring Vala racing up into the GateRoom to catch up with SG-1 is priceless. must have rewinded that part 3times!

the quest p1
damn, that dragon had some *beautiful* wings, surprisingly quite strong legs too! oh but the wings! am *enamored*.
Baal/Orici (I think I like Orici more than Adria) can so be my first SG-1 ship. I mean, SG-1 was never a shipper show for me, I just never saw it that way, but damn this pairing had sparks in this ep! heh.
while I'm not sold on the idea of Merlin/Morgana/St.Grail/etc. mythology being integrated into SG-1 I like that it led us to a quest episode. it has this Lord Of The Rings coolness to it, sth the Egyptian mythology could never trigger. Nevertheless the Egyptian mythology sold this show for me; I simply loved the concept of incorporating the idea of pyramids as spaceship platforms into a tv-show. but after 1,5 seasons I'm still not into the Arthurian legends in the Stargate world, alas!
