The Closer 3x09 Blindsided
that was positively *teh* perfect episode. if I didn't like season 1 as a whole so much, I'd even go so far as to say, this was the best episode of the series.
why? I believe it has to do with the fact that it dealt with a crime that personally touched the characters and for once I kinda reached out to Pope with his genuine concern for Brenda - and panic! - at the crime scene.
btw, I just like Lt. Tao twice more now, since I've seen him in Babylon 5!
I want to see more of Chad! the SWAT detail guys were perfectly cast. I also like Brenda's parents as a couple. when we met her mum beginning last season, I wasn't all that impressed and didn't like the story overall, well except for that bit with Provenza, but I digress...
all in all, *all* the regular cast members did a stellar job on this one; just the kind you'd expect from this show, yet even so they surprised me with the excellence.
I ramble. simply put, luved the episode, watched it twice already.
and damn, Brenda went to Georgetown... *sigh*
I almost got in...tis life!
[ETA @19:38] I only now checked, this was the episode directed by Kevin Bacon.
the closer,
