God I'm so exhausted. There's been a really sucky flu bug going around. And just my luck, I seem to have caught it. Which is crappy given that it's Valentine's Day. One really shouldn't be sick on such a romantic day. But am feeling a bit better. No 24 hour flu can keep me down for long. Will take more than a slight temperature to take me out of action. So gone on a quick patrol. Ended up being a pretty boring night. Only ran into one newbie vamp. Poor guy was way too easy to dust.
I guess as Valentine Day's go, this one wasn't so bad. At least my ex vampire lover didn't send any less than warm and fuzzy gifts. Actually this year Angel sent a dozen long stem-roses. Is always nice to get anything from him. Let's me know he's okay and all. And speaking of okay, Riley sent me a box of chocolate. Was really sweet of him. He's been so busy lately, really haven't got to see him. So hope we get to go out for some fun this weekend.
Valentine's Day always reminds me of Angel. With the hearts and all. Uh, that totally isn't as gross as it sounds. But yeah, I really do miss Angel. I still dream about us and how easier things were before it all gone down hill. Course is allot of water under the bridge since my High School days. We've both moved on. I'm seeing Riley now. And he's off doing the whole Detective thing in LA. Though think Xander mentioned something about seeing
Angel and Cordelia recently down by the Bronze. Don't know why he would be back in Sunnydale. But since he hasn't tried to contact me, is obviously business and not pleasure. And is obviously something he thinks he can handle himself. If things get to hairy for him or his team, am sure he'll ask for help. Or at least I hope he would. He knows I'll always be there for him if he ever needs it.
Anyway I'm feeling too exhausted to think very clearly at the moment. So I'm just gonna call it a night. But do think I'll be calling a Scooby meeting at the Magic Box soon. Catch up with
Giles,
Xand, and
Will. Make sure their doing good. Hopefully things are going better for them. With no illness or other suckiness to drag them down.
