Well here I go, on Thursday I'm going to get Mirena put in. Its a step up from the BCP. I was hoping to get sterilized, but at my age nobody is willing to do it. I just got back from the doctor, and I'm clear to get a mirena!  This is exciting for me because I wasn't sure it would be covered by my insurance (I'm a graduate student at a university in Canada), so I thought I'd include the most important detail first:  if you have Green Shield insurance in Canada, they do cover mirena.  I thought it'd be nice ( Read more... )

I get Mirena done.
Yeah its on a Sunday but they are open 7 days a week and I work 6 of those days so....
It is at 11AM. I am kinda worried about the pain factor but I have left over Lortab from when my tooth was pulled (screw Ibuprofen).
Wish me luck I guess?

I have been given the all clear to get an IUD and I want to know what everyone else's experience with it has been.

Are your periods worse or weird?

Got the IUD on Thursday.
