[TL] Sponichi 2019.07.11 - The Night after Johnny's Passing (Hey!Say!JUMP, Kis-my-ft2 & 4TOPS)
With Johnny Kitagawa's passing on July 10, 2019, members from all the debuted groups/actors gave heartfelt comments.
I've translated the comments from HSJ, Kisumai & 4TOPS here, because they were so touching. There were other Johnnys, but these are typically the ones I follow.
Nothing from Takki of course, as he's been very strict about not coming to the front at all, but an article did mention, he rushed to the hospital as well when Johnny-san was first hospitalized.
Rest in peace, Johnny-san. You've created an incredible empire of idols!

Yamada: Johnny-san's will lives in all of us. We will continue to create the best productions along with him from now on.
Yabu: We'll keep producing the entertainment that Johnny-san loves and bring dreams to all of our fans. As for his dream, each and every one of us, his sons, will make it a reality. I love you, Johnny-san.
Chinen: He came to our rehearsals every time. If we were hungry, he went out himself to buy food. He was really like a parent to us. We'll put all the love we got from Johnny-san into the entertainment we produce.
Nakajima: We're all sons of Johnny-san. Our agency will unite as one and we'll continue devote ourselves to entertainment that can house his soul. You probably won't want to rest, but please do for a bit first.
Yaotome: When Johnny-san was hospitalized, we all rushed over. I was happy when I said, "Hey! Say! JUMP is here!" and he responded. Be the number one entertainer in heaven too. I love you.
Arioka: I've heard about Johnny-san from many different people, but no matter what, they always talk about him in a fun way smiling. I love Johnny-san like that. I promise to heat up the entertainment industry in a way that you won't say is boring.
Inoo: Since I was chosen by Johnny-san, the world I've seen has changed. What he's taught me, and what he's shown me…we'll work hard to convey those to the world. Thank you, Johnny-san.
Takaki: I'm so full of gratitude for Johnny-san. Since I met him, my life has changed a lot. I learnt lots from him, so I want to show the fans everything he's taught us in our own way.

Kitayama: "[The] Show must go on." These words were etched in my heart at 16 years old. We'll succeed his will and bring happiness to people across the nation with our entertainment. I would like to become someone who can give to the world.
Senga: He gave me lots of experience and lessons. He was a dad-like presence who taught of human love. I took it for granted that he would always be there, and now he's gone all of a sudden. It's frustrating that all my gratitude is overflowing mores now that that's happened. I wanted to learn more from him. I wanted to spend more time with him.
Miyata: Thank you for making me part of Kis-my-ft2. Thank you for choosing these seven members. "YOU do it." That phrase of his… is etched in the hearts of the seven of us and we'll work hard. We'll always work hard together as these seven, so please watch over us.
Yokoo: I can't believe I'll never be able to see him say, "YOU" ever again. If I could have it my way, I would've wanted him to say "YOU" to me once more. I'll devote myself in a way that doesn't embarrass Kis-my-ft2.
Fujigaya: I'm so sad and lonely. He taught me the difficulties of the entertainment world and the endless possibilities. He further taught me to keep my own uniqueness.
Tamatori: I wanted to watch Johnny-san create entertainment by his side and learn more. And now I'll never here his "YOU" anymore…

Yamashita: To the producer of a great world, thank you for your overflowing love. When I was young, that one month of summer vacation when you took me to America, you showed me new sceneries for the first time, new people, fashion, music… Everything was so new and fresh I still remember it clearly to this day. I'm still unworthy, but I will work harder to become someone who can bring joy to many many more people and never forget what you've taught me. I hadn't noticed it before, but what you've taught and shown me in my youth is the origin of everything I am now. It's thanks to you, Johnny-san, that my life, my family, and my important fans are full of happiness. I will continue to pursue new worlds. [from Instagram]
Ikuta: When I visited the training hall Johnny-san created last year, every talent's name card was prepared there. Mine was also there. Not a single person was missing. I felt he loved everyone equally, and my heart grew warm.
Kazama: Everyone I've met in my work, I met because they met Johnny-san. It was only possible because of him. Sights I'd never seen before, a world I'd never known… I was only able to experience these because I met Johnny-san.
Hasegawa: A young boy who knew nothing, learnt of a 'dream' thanks to Johnny-san. I've found a 'path' because of him… The invaluable time I spent together with Johnny-san is my treasure for life.
