Eastward Ho!

Yesterday was a glorious day here; mid 20s and sunny though cooler immediately by the lake. I rode my bike out along the Waterfront Trail to Oshawa. It's a really lovely trail for much of the way. It follows the lake shoreline closely for about half of the way with the usual linking sections of park trail, back streets and the occasional stray onto busier roads. Highlights include the section through Rouge Park and the long stretch of shoreline through Ajax. Bonuses include a nuclear power plant and Ontario's largest wind turbine. The ride was 77km and it took me almost exactly four hours. The GO train got me back into the city in an hour.
