it's petrie, like the dish

Mar 13, 2010 21:51

I only say that because it is David Duchovney is talking to a petrie dish. We randomly turned on the tv and the movie Evolution was on (something I didn't know until I stalked David Duchovney on wikipedia) and then the head scientist chick was bothering me cuz I've seen her before and couldn't place her. So (after further wikipedia stalking) it turns out she is is Julianne Moore, who is in a lot of things but what I remember her from is 30 rock. Thank you wikipedia.

Four hours later.

No really four hours later. I( just got back from the CUSSA banquet. But to explain the banquet I need to go back to the beginning of the day. So I am up north, "skiing" on shitty brown snow for my little bro's last ski race of the year. I didn't do much skiing (snow was shitty and I was on snowblades = not fun on shitty snow) but I did gatekeep (or as our Canadian friend likes to call it; I was a gatedog). So I got the first five or so gates at the top of the mountain. Definatly the easiest spot for gatekeeping becuase very few kids fall on the flat top portion and really don't have much speed yet. However for being 50 degrees and drizzley, it was very windy. SO I was up there in my spring ski gear and a little put out. I learned today that flannel is not waterproof. Go figure (tho the Vermonters would probably disagree, and I am picking up their bad habits.) So after I skied my one run down the hill, postgate keeping, I ended up halfway back up the hill videoing the kids in our club. Lost circulation in my fingers, but I will have a cool racing video to post in a few days. So racing finished for the day (I can't believe they are holding the GS race tomorrow.) I attended the CUSSA banquet with the fam. Spent most of the speech part outside talking with my friend who is in Hawaii right now. Then slipped back inside to watch my Brother and some of his friends (other Pinnicle club kids) get a ton of hardware (trophies) and ate some pretty good dinner.

It's saturday night and I could really use a beer or two (five or six really). but I'm stuck babysitting. oh well. back in Vermont in two days, I'll have my beer come next saturday. Nothing else exciting in my life except I discovered that while my touchscreen is broken (which sucks cuz my phone is entirely touchscreen) I can send "classic text messages" such as "check this out" or Let's catch up soon"  or "I'm running late" which amuses me to no end. One of my friends figured this out and is now sending my texts that are impossible to answer with a generic text. My fav question from her is "what is your middle name" oh fun times.
