It may surprise you, but I will go that far and say that I just had the best week ever. My emotions will be different from Allison's or Andy's because their parents were there during the weekend (on the other hand you two hooked up so that may make up for what I am about to say). This week was awesome because of one thing: freedom. Freedom to live. Freedom from the world. Freedom from reality. I was living a fairy tale life. My best friends spending time together in a spot for a week with food, xbox, dvds, trails, a beach, a campfire, and above all, nature.
Sun - After packing everything I could, I went shopping for last minute items at Meijer. I then headed for Allison's house. We waited a few minutes and then I took off with everyone to Potato Creek. David, Allison, Spencer, Preston, and I would be the first ones to the site. When we arrived, we put up the supply tent that would be our sleeping quarters (yea, sry if that's too big or proper of a word for ya). The tent was able to just barely fit Spencer, Preston, and I when we slept in it. That tent would go through worse later on. After getting that tent up, we put up a canopy. This thing with four poles connected to a green tarp was put up to go over us and keep us save from rain and also keep things shady. I usually find it to be hot under these things but anyways, after that, I made the poor decision of leaving the campsite with David so that he could get his chocolate donuts and chocolate milk. He hadn't eatin all day and this is the crap he chose. I did get a sandwich but I would've rather stayed to finish setting up and also meet Barbie, Ambur, Josh, and Paige as they showed up. We sat around the table and cooked food for awhile and then we went off into the woods to play some tag. I participated but was never "it". This being "it" looked like a lot of hard work for the four who did have to do it. After a few rounds, we quit cause we're lazy and couldn't handle it anymore. The game was nostalgic and fun but tiring. We all ended up at a playground after that. This was where the first conflict in Tribe Kookaburra occurred. Ambur had the guys leave her alone so she could have "girl talk". I likened this to if us guys would play xbox because the girls would not participate and it would divide us. This "girl talk" divided us when we had come here to be together. This "girl talk" could have happened in the girls tent. Of course, Ambur wanted to read HP and that would not happen.
Some time passed. We played a few games. Barbie and Josh left. So did David. The night ended with Paige, Spencer, Preston, and I sitting around the fire talking about religion and the philosophies of life basically. There was some stuff about humans, the universe, parallel universes, whether jesus is a God or not, is religion legit or are people like allah and jesus just good politicians, etc. It was deep stuff but I enjoyed talking about it. Thinking isn't bad. In fact, when you do think, you can sometimes discover yourself. It's freaky but cool at the same time. This was one of my most favorite nights of the vacation.
