Comments: This was me getting rid of all the dialogue I've been trying to keep hidden inside of me! It was a lapse in my descriptive writing therapy! Written exclusively for fun, and not meant to be taken seriously!!!!!
Disclaimer: I do not own Mark. Sabrina. Derek. The video. The kiss picture. Or the tour bus ;)
“If you put it there, we’re going to get hate mail.”
She got a pout in response.
“No seriously Mark.”
“But it’s funny.”
Sabrina gave a long sigh. She stared at the computer, scrutinizing the screen with a sharp eye. Mark had put up a picture of them at the Paramore concert. Then, on top of the picture, he placed a graphic that said “The End!” over their faces, making it impossible to tell whether they were kissing or not. It was for the new video Corky had been putting together to show fans a behind the scenes viewpoint of the tour, and Mark was of course putting his two cents in.
“You know they’ve been dying to see a picture of us kissing.” Sabrina stated as she slowly lowered herself to Mark’s lap in front of the computer screen. “And putting those words right there might literally cause a riot.”
Mark chuckled to himself as an arm wrapped around her waist, steadying her. “I know.”
“So you’re intentionally trying to get our fans to become violent?”
Mark shrugged, the mischievous glint in his eye sparkling.
“Hey I’m like the star of that video.” A voice came out from the tour bus hallway. Derek wandered through the doorway, holding a can of soda in one hand and a bag of chips in the other, grinning and winking at Sabrina who just rolled her eyes.
“Says who?” she shot back, biting back a laugh.
Mark looked up, only semi interested in the conversation between his best friend and his girlfriend.
“Says me of course. I mean, who else plays guitar and sings and looks like a stud in it?” Derek smirked as she plopped himself down on a chair, ripping open the bag of chips.
Mark snorted. “Uh, me.”
Derek’s face turned from pride to disbelief as he leaned forward in his chair. “You play guitar in it too?”
“And sing.”
“And looks like a stud.” Sabrina chimed in as she slowly turned her and Mark around in their swivel chair.
Mark thanked her with a kiss on the cheek.
Derek pouted as he leaned back in his seat. “Well that sucks. I told Corky I wanted to be the star!”
Sabrina grinned. “Really? Because you’re only in it for ten seconds.”
Derek only sighed in response. “Should have figured. Always under appreciated.”
“Don’t worry man. I’m in it for less than ten seconds.” Mark comforted his friend as he grabbed a handful of the chips that Derek had neglected. “Dude, these are so good…”
Derek looked at the couple with a disgusted look on his face as Mark fed Sabrina a chip and whispered something in her ear. “I suddenly lost my appetite.”
Sabrina looked up and answered brightly, “Good! More for us!”
Mark grabbed the bag and they spun around to face the computer once again. Derek couldn’t help but smile as he walked out of the room and glanced back at his best friends. They were huddled close together, their heads touching, and Sabrina seemed to be whispering frantically at Mark, obviously worked up about something. What had made Derek smile was the look of sheer happiness on Mark’s face as he gazed at Sabrina lovingly, oblivious to the words that were coming out of her mouth directed at him. Derek shook his head and continued out the door, looking around for other people to annoy. Mark and Sabrina weren’t good for that anymore. They were always lost in their own world.
“But seriously Mark…I’m not so sure that’s a good idea…our fans are very adamant about seeing a picture of us kissing from New Years. This picture isn’t from New Years, AND now you’re covering it up…are you even listening to me?” Sabrina rambled as she moved her hands around dramatically, her motions slowing once she realized Mark wasn’t looking at the screen…but instead was focused on her.
“Not really.”
Sabrina smirked. “Do you ever listen to me?”
“Of course!”
“I think not.”
“I think so…who got me to put hip hop in our Cha-Cha?”
Sabrina rolled her eyes as she leaned back into his chest, turning her head ever so slightly to meet his eyes. “You weren’t listening to me then. I had to practically stab you with my heels to get you to do it.”
Mark chuckled, his laughter muffled in Sabrina’s hair as he pressed his forehead into the side of her head. “Sorry. I was just…distracted…a moment ago.”
“Distracted?” Sabrina asked coyly.
Mark cleared his throat and sat up straighter. “Uh yeah…anyway…the picture is already in the movie. So it’s either all of our fans get their wish and they see us kiss, or we keep our private life private…at least for a few more days…”
Sabrina leaned forward and placed her chin on her hands, thinking hard. “Alright. Cover it up.”
Mark made a punching motion with his arm as he quickly kissed Sabrina on the lips and made a few alterations on the screen, pressing Enter with a flourish. “Done.”
Sabrina stood up and pulled Mark up after her, wrapping her arms around his neck. “We’re so going to be hated for this.”
Mark hugged her close. “I know. We can still change it if you want…”
“No, I can tell you’re proud of the placement.”
Mark smiled proudly. “I thought it was pretty clever…”
Sabrina stood up on her tiptoes to give him a quick kiss. “It was. But just so you know, when we’re violently assaulted in a dark alley someday by a crazed fan, I’m hiding behind you.”
