Aiite... First day back from vacation.
Mrs. Craker said I got mail so I went into the CC second period. It was from Purdue and I thought it was gonna be some stupid "We got your application" thing. Well... it turns out Purdue accepted me. It took me 5 minutes to take it in and then I felt helplessly happy and delirious. I was like "WHOA!! I'd been worrying about UW the whole time and I get an acceptance from Purdue? So random!"
The rest of my day was a blah until track.
Yup, track started today. I'm excited about the hard works and ya, it's good for you. We have a good "throwers'" program this year and will require a ton more work. Today we ran four 50 meters, forty pushups, and 70 crunches. It was painful and we ended by throwing the discus and hammer.
On my way home I bought some tempura and behold, two Mormons parked their bikes next to me. One of them (his name was "Elder Sebo" or something) said "shing nian kwai luh" and Robert said "Happy Chinese New Years to you too." HAhaaa that was great. Before long, I was stuck with him and he talked to me for 10 minutes. IT WAS SO FRICKEN AWKWARD! I did tell him that I was a Christian.
He said something about Jesus separating people. I was like "I never read that in the Bible before?" He kinda stopped and moved onto something else. This Mr. Elder Sebo from Canada was a former Christian. What a shame. I was nice to him though cuz he said it was his first week doing this missionary stuff for their Mormons.
Dude... it was awkward. He said that the Bible is old and had been mistranslated as it was passed down and that the book of Mormon was in the Latter days and that prophets and saints wrote it. (inside I was thinking how stupid that sounded but I couldn't say anything cuz I didn't know what to say) I think I just nodded. I must have looked so rude to him cuz I was eating tempura and looking down most the time. Now I wish I defended my faith a bit more but hey, it was something new to me.
Whatever, I'm happy I'm in one college and I hope to hear from UIUC and UW soon. Peace out, I'm wasted.
