So. Uhm. The brief period of elation at the cheap fix of my computer (heatsink fan replacement) was apparently rather premature. So, I apparently have some sort of gremlin poking around. While watching Firefly on the dvd player, it decided that it was going to skip tons and tons, and not be very nice.
