Shoe is gonna be a big kitty. He was 4 months old a couple of days ago and he's already bigger than Milton was at 6 months or Lucy at 7.

The baby kitties were both very good boys at the vet. He says they're good, healthy kittens and obviously loved and well cared for. Of course, they get to go back AGAIN in three weeks. And then again for rabies shots. And then to get clipped and chipped.

Punk and Shoe go to the vet today for their FVRCP kitten series vaccinations. I get to take cat poop in a bag, oh joy.

Hoping that soon they will be (4 months) old enough to snip and chip so they can go the hell OUTSIDE.

So the kittens are being kittens, into everything they can reach. The grownup kitties are spending more time outside. We hope for a gradual rapprochement. Tomorrow morning everybody gets to go to the vet (and my wallet hurts already), and rather than corral them all into the house, then into carriers in the morning before work, when I saw all four ( Read more... )

Monday we have an appointment at the vet for Milton and Lucy to get their FVRCP booster shots and for the kittens to meet the vet and start costing us money!

How we will transport two adults and two kittens, all of whom object strenuously to car travel, with one cat carrier is beyond me!

Poor Lucy. Not only has she been pushed out of her house, much less her corner, by two unruly nuisance kittens. Not only is there a kitten barrier that makes the cat door MUCH harder to get to, after having had to jump through the empty storm-door pane to get on the porch in the first place ( Read more... )
