Above is the trailer for Julie & Julia, which I am of course dying to see. It looks like Meryl Streep will pull off Julia Child well enough, which is the key to the whole movie. Clueless was the very first movie I saw without my parents. One of the scenes I remember best was an incidental moment in a ladies' bathroom when someone's cell phone starts ringing and everyone rummages through their purses. I'm a big fan of the drafthouse theater concept. I'd never been to one before yesterday, when I joined a group of people to see The Simpsons Movie at the Arlington Drafthouse. I watched Pan's Labyrinth tonight. It was very good, fantastic but sinister. The Spanish sounded very odd though; after a lifetime of hearing various versions of Latin American Spanish, Castillian Spanish almost seems like another language.
