i had such a great weekend! my redskins beat tampa and the giants lost!!! woo hoo!
friday turned out to be much better than id anticipated what with the client making a last minute change and all. by the time i got the official word, caroline had managmeted to talk them down and get a good compromise. so, the team was miffed but the workload is far less than expected.
went for dinner and drinks with a guy from work (we're just friends). we'd only intended to have a few cocktails but time just flew. by the time we left it was well after midnight. i went home, thought about meeting up with bertrand but decided to sleep instead.
went to a birthday party/work thing saturday night and met up with miss m00ncakes. we then hopped over to fat black pussy cat for another birthday party for a guy she knew from semester at sea. he was a total ass but it was pretty funny to watch him hit on diana--"god you're so hot. were you this hot when we were at semester at sea?" a note to the boys: if you want to hit on a girl, THAT is not the way to do it.
bertrand met up with us and by that time, the vodka began to hit me hard. id gone to the gym earlier and wasn't hungry for dinner. needless to say, i got the spins so i had to get an emergency slice of pizza. it did the trick so bertrand and i moved on to our favorite spot, VIG bar. the place was mobbed but a lot of fun. we stayed until closing and then came home and passed out. good times.
i spent sunday shopping and watching football. banana republic is having a great sale and, despite my rule not to buy anything for a bit, i had to cave. i got a button down shirt, gray slacks and a wool, black blazer for $120--actually, i only paid $48 because i had a gift card. i love getting a good deal. then came home and watched the giants get pounded by carolina. my roommate, nick, was not happy but there was a bunch of us there so he managed to stay in a decent mood ;). then watched the steelers/bengals game which was painful but entertaining.
so, i can't complain about my weekend...or my first week back to the real world. here's to hoping this trend lasts ;)
