lol, elwood is such a bum

Elwood's looking a little worse for wear today. Kind of... muddy. He's hurrying along the street, looking rather suspect in all honesty, when he notices a poster pinned to the door of some hall or other and skids to a halt, grabbing his hat needlessly. Some kind of charity event. Don't talk to Elwood about charity-- he and his brother worked themselves to the bone raising $5,000 for the St. Helen of the Blessed Shroud orphanage and got thrown in the joint for their troubles!

Still. Free cupcakes.

He sidles in, tipping his hat to anyone standing by the door, and makes his way to the table with the cupcakes, keeping his distance from the airy springtime decorations-- he eyes them warily like they're about to come to life and eat him. He hovers at the table, looking down at cupcakes that look more like elaborate jewellery than food.

"Are these, uh, free?" he asks whichever poor chump happens to be standing nearest.

Senri is not a chump at all -- he's a primly dressed tiny terror. Hmph, how rude.

"Can't you read?" Points to a nearby sign and then goes back to plucking off marshmallow-petals. He's eyeballing Elwood, trying to decide of the getup is absurd or amazing. "'Cupcakes and tea provided.'" Colored sugar on puffed sugar on frosted sugar is popped into his mouth. Chewing and juuuuuudging...

Elwood shrugs, not riled by the tone in the least. He actually isn't that great at reading, but he managed the sign fine. He's the kind that likes to check these things.

"Thank you," he says-- at over six feet tall, he finds himself looking down at Senri slightly, though only in the physical sense. Elwood doesn't really... do that.

Following that fairly polite response, he picks up a cupcake, peels off any wrapping and stuffs the whole thing in his mouth. It's a skill. Elwood is not renowned for his table manners.

...........What did he just witness.

Senri watches it disappear all at once -- a tiny bit impressed but mostly just displaying outright disgust. It's quite a feat considering Senri went to an all boys' school. At least Elwood took off the wrapper first...?

Cupcake still in hand -but abandoned for the moment-, the 5'5" petite little designer will just gawk at this large, muddy, suited, vacuum of a man.

The cupcake sits on a saucer, untouched. However Taiki is on his second cup of tea already and doesn't seem to be slowing. He did arrive on time but inevitably still received quite a chewing-out.

The cards are shuffled and he arranges a game of solitaire. Senri's parked nearby, chatting a way obliviously. Every once in a while the long, thin psychic nods his head but otherwise the conversation seems very one-sided.

The rest of the chairs at the table are open and while Taiki is quiet, he's not the least bit hostile.

Victor has seen the signs, and, being a total sugar addict, is intrigued by this 'cupcakes are provided' idea. So he goes to investigate at the location specified. He's quite impressed by the spread -- and the cupcakes are beautiful! Almost too good-looking to eat.

Almost. Victor selects a blue cupcake and sets about nomming it. He's distracted halfway through by Senri's comment -- oh, hello there you. "I imagine because people eat them," Victor jokes, smiling. "They are good, though. And so pretty as well."

A delighted gasp and he looks up, Up, UP! Gosh, you are twice my height. "Viiiictor! ♥" A cheerful greeting and he makes sure to enunciate the heart. "Victor!" Give him a minute.

"How are you? What are you doing here? Were you successful? How are you?" He gushes, forgetting himself.

Maybe not that bad, but it is true that Victor's tall at six-foot-three. Victor has to bite back a grin at the way Senri says his name. "It's good to see you too, Senri."

"I'm all right. I've been doing a bit of exploring, and I saw the signs." He takes a bite out of his cupcake. "I'm always interested in tea parties, so I thought I would visit," he continues once he's done. He blushes faintly. "As f-for what I'm sure you're r-referring to, I'm meeting A-Alice later to discuss just that." He is too -- even if she's going to be late on account of needing to use her Vorpal Blade and other weapons to help save some people.

"Really?!" A wide, excited smile when he hears Victor will be meeting Alice today. "Here. Grab another cupcake, let's sit." He's already snagging two teacups and kidnapping that pot of tea. "What did you decide? Wonderland Park or the hat shop?" Details, we want details!

Ash too was silently wondering if he really should eat a cupcake with that much flowery icing on top, but... what the hell. As he unwrapped the pretty dessert, he sat in the Loft, figuring out in his head just what sorts of salads he was going to be eating tomorrow to balance out the sugary-sweetness of the cupcake he was about to eat. It almost looked too pretty to eat; obviously the icing was piped by someone who knew what they were doing.

It made him wonder too if his newly favorite lacroix_styles had any experience with making overly pretty cupcakes like this

He wasn't really the type that baked much, not because it was a girl thing; he couldn't really say that since cooking wasn't always viewed as the most masculine profession either by some people, it was more that he needed to concentrate harder to bake. There were formulas and measurements to be carefully tended to when it came to making sense of how cakes and the like were crafted, and Lacroix didn't mind that when he was purposely making the effort but otherwise he didn't venture too far into the idea

Ash had no idea why Hector was backing off from Lacroix, but that certainly wasn't something to complain about, no. He much preferred talking to Lacroix when the other man wasn't being shadowed quite so closely by his bodyguard.

What he did want to complain about was the fact that Lacroix was just sort of... standing there, and not coming over to sit with him. This definitely had to be remedied, yes. Ash didn't really care why or how Lacroix was here -- maybe someone showed him? After all, Vince had shown Ash just how to get to the Loft. What was important was the fact that they could actually see each other in person now instead of relying on phone and internet conversation.

But if Lacroix was just going to stand there and stare at him, Ash figured he might as well give him a show, because Lacroix was sort of adorable when he got all stumbling-and-stammering. A moment before, Lacroix had carelessly licked icing off his own fingertips, but Ash very purposely licked one of his own fingertips now, slowly sucking the pastel icing off

Most of his Loft ventures were following Hector, simple enough enough; at least he did know how to get back home on his own even if the door just dumped him off in the lobby and he'd had to call Hector to come let him in the elevator the last time
