School days question

One of my classes this year includes practice teaching in which we have to prepare some lesson plans and then go out and practice them in an actual classroom setting with actual students. We have to prepare an elementary, a middle school, and a high school lesson plan. My area of choice for these lessons is music history (jazz age). So I've got ( Read more... )

For me, it was often instilled in us to 'Say what you mean and mean what you say'.

My son is in school now and, one of the things that I wish his classmates already knew, is that being "different" is okay. It doesn't make you any better or any worse than the person sitting next to you, and you just might find out that they have something to offer, and vice-versa.

He's five, and you are welcome.

As he grew up on a spaceship, his example may not exactly help your lesson, but, if you want to spin it a little, I can give you some particulars.

[Had half the story typed an realized it was information overload for the poor kid. ;)]
