One of my classes this year includes practice teaching in which we have to prepare some lesson plans and then go out and practice them in an actual classroom setting with actual students. OH! And if you're in an idol competition, you should probably not go running after that stupid person who will inevitably get themselves kidnapped. Because you will be DISQUALIFIED and end up with a HUGE cut on your face.

Most of the lessons in high school that you learn -or maybe more: retain- are not academic ones. I couldn't name more than like... three Emperors and I have a program that calculates area and measurements for me. But I do know that if you're caught in a compromising situation then likely teachers will jump to the worst possible conclusion. Because you are a stupid teenager and they are ~adults~ and obviously have all the wisdom. Also: if you go to the school doctor and you're not really sick, likely you will leave the health room in worse condition than you entered. Things like that.

My son is in school now and, one of the things that I wish his classmates already knew, is that being "different" is okay. It doesn't make you any better or any worse than the person sitting next to you, and you just might find out that they have something to offer, and vice-versa.
