Tomatoes!

May 01, 2010 19:26

I planted my tomato hanging basket today. Supposedly it will start to germinate within the first 10-15 days, according to the package. When the plants get to be about three inches tall, it says to fertilize them with a 'regular plant fertilizer' (Miracle Gro I guess?). Soil has to be kept moist, but not too soggy. I'm excited - I hope they grow!

I lost another 2.8 pounds this week, for 45 pounds lost total. Here's hoping I can continue to keep up with my weight loss through all these surgeries and such. I have to go Monday for my pre-op appointments, to the hospital and to the gyn. I'm a bit nervous, but not as nervous as I'm going to be when it's time for the actual surgery I'm sure. I'm trying not to worry about it too overly much. Then the 12th is surgery day. Fun times. My sinuses are feeling somewhat better with the new medications, but I can still feel the blockage up in there. The doctor wants me to come back if it's not better within 1-2 weeks, then they'll schedule me for a cat scan and send me to an ear, nose and throat guy. I really am hoping it fixes itself before then considering I already have enough going on medically, but realistically I know I have had a chronic sinus problem for years. If it's gotten to the point where it's just constantly stupid, it really is time to get that taken care of too.

I've been playing this game called Settlement: Colossus lately. It's a hidden object game, but one that's actually got a purpose to the objects you find and the puzzles you solve. You use them to support and develop a civilization. And there's a kinda plot and cut scenes and everything too. Very well thought out.

That's about all that's new here. What's up with you guys?
