Animals Are Cute!

Apr 26, 2010 12:52

I like animals. It's true. I don't really want a pet, and I must admit that animals are also tasty. But in general, animals are fun. I'm going to leave insects out of the general "animal" equation for the moment, because they can be real dicks sometimes. We'll focus on mammals, because they're fuzzy.

And now, fun with animals! (photo and alt-text heavy; be forewarned...) )

storytime, wildlife, animals

Man, I haven't been to Great Adventure in years! It's been longer than that since I've been throught the Safari. A giraffe licked the windshield of our Ford Aerostar. It was AWESOME!

Nowadays I prefer Hershey Park. Not as many cute, yummy animals, but more yummy chocolate. God bless Milton and Kitty for building a town around chocolate!

I like Great Adventure, but nowadays I'm getting old so I can't take a whole day of it at a time. So I get a season pass, and I don't feel guilty about going a half dozen times and only staying until three or four in the afternoon. Plus, it lets me visit other Six Flags parks; last year we checked out Six Flags Whatchamacallit near D.C., which was pretty awesome, since we caught the park on a low-volume day.

I haven't been to Hershey Park in eons. That's something I might have to schedule sometime. mmmmmmmchocolicious!

Yeah, but chocolate >>>>> hockey. Only with more greater-than's. ;-)

Since this appears to have been a date-type outing, I hereby forgive you for apparently forgetting that I live a mere one hour from Great Adventure.

We do need to plan a trip there this summer, though.

Ah, that's true, you're just across the river, Philly-style. Much closer to GA than you used to be!

YAY animals! Those giraffes certainly do seem interested in, erm...something.

I like the bears too (FUZZY WUZZY D'AWWW) and those skinny gazelle things are beautiful! I love their markings!

Cheeky giraffes. THE CARROT! NOT THE JUNK!

The bears were really funny, standing up and waving for food. It's too bad we couldn't play with the lions, but then again, that's probably all for the best.

With regard to the bear photos...I think you need to include #1 and #3 in an LJDQ sometime, because DAMN.

#1 is clearly a nursing momma bear.

#3 is clearly... Well, the bear on the left appears to be starring in a Tyler Perry movie--what is with that butt? Is there perhaps a third bear behind them and it's an illusion that the bear has four ass-cheeks? ::looks again:: Oh, wait, that is exactly the case. It is an illusion. Still...

And the bear on the right looks like a lycanthrope. Seriously, go check out the illustrations at the chapter-openers of an old edition of Prince Caspian. There's one where the werewolf is attacking Caspian, and it looks just like that bear.

I guess this post is all animal porn, from bear boobies to big bear butt to monkey manhood... good thing I didn't get a shot of the monkeys butthumping each other.

Werebear! Like a care bear, only with more were. Don't know where.

I love the giant elephant maw. I think that photo would make an awesome photo to put in an engagement party invitation.
