Ohno's VTR message to Toma (who was the guest).
Taichi: Next, we have a message from this person...
***VTR starts***
Eh... Thank you for kindness when we worked together in Maou.
Taichi: Ah, so that's it!
(He was probably wondering when Ohno & Toma worked together)
Toma: Yes, that's right.
Ahh, really... At that time, we were acting as enemies, so we didn't really talk much on the set. I felt like we can't talk to each other because of that.
Before this, I also worked with Toma in a stage play. He has been a very hot-blooded guy since then. When he is acting, he is really focused.
Surprisingly, there also times when he thinks about different things. When we were filming of Maou, during the waiting time, he was doing this (see screenie below).
(Pose like he was thinking about something serious)
And I thought "Ah, he is really into his role & he's thinking about his role. I better buck up."
Then he went: "Okay! Let's have curry today!" [laughs] He was thinking about food during the filming break. That made me relaxed a bit. Thank you very much.
During that period of time, it was really tough for the both of us, physically (in terms of our schedule) & mentally. If there is another job or opportunity, let's work together again.
***VTR ends***
Taichi: Ohno... Is he your senpai (senior)?
Toma: Yes, my senpai.
Taichi: Big (As in number of years) senpai?
Toma: 1-2 years.
Taichi: Oh... I see. What's your impression of Ohno?
Toma: I have been a fan of Ohno since a long time ago. Since he was on Kyo to Kyo. I thought "He is really good in singing" & "He is really good in dancing". Really... When he stands on stage, he change a lot. That's what I thought. I like him a lot, so I was very happy that I got to work with him. Yeah, that's right... it was very enjoyable.
Toma~!! ♥♥♥♥♥ Another Ohno fanboy? XDD
Johnny's Stage Report featuring Aiba in Greenfingers
Snippets of the play are inserted here & there.
It's been 2 years since Arashi's Aiba Masaki did a stage play - Greenfingers. The story is set in Britain. Aiba plays the role of Colin, the main character of the story, who killed his younger brother & has since given up on his life. One day, Colin receives some flower seeds from Fergus, an old man who lives in the same room as him.
Fergus: Colin, Merry Christmas! [gives him a pack of flower seeds]
Colin: I don't do this kind of thing!
Colin threw the seeds away, but it bloomed into beautiful violets. Because of this chance happening, the rehabilitation centre decided to make gardening part of their programme. Fergus guides Colin & the other inmates along when they're gardening. Especially Colin, he has 'greenfinger', meaning he has the natural disposition/talent for gardening.
Colin: Lastly, add some compost.
The girl (Sorry, I don't know the name): This is the invitation to Hampton Court Flower Show!
Everyone: Yay!! We did it!
Colin & gang received news that they can take part in the flower show for the Queen. Though they were faced with many difficulties, they managed to create their ideal garden. He has gotten a new life through gardening. A youth that has gotten his life back, Aiba has played this role faithfully.
I didn't really get this idea of getting your life back through gardening. But when I enter the theatre & thought about it... The life which you ended with your own hands, that life is gone... then I sow the seeds, take care of it, give it water & the flower blooms, it's like something new comes out. I felt very grateful/touched... Maybe not grateful, but it's like if I do that one million times, maybe I can atone my sins, even if it's just a little bit. That's what I thought when I did it & I kinda got into gardening.
Really... In this world, there are a lot of things which you have to take care of and if you don't do that, tears will fall, the society's tears & all. So in gardening, the space that it creates, it's very slow-paced. Sowing the seeds, giving it water and it's like "it's just grows this much in a day?"... and finally when the flower blooms. It because we are in such a world like this, I'm glad we do this. It's like, "We can have a slow-paced life too." That's what I thought when I was doing it.
"Adversity is your friend". A line that was said to me by Fergus, Hira-san. You really need a lot of determination to do that. To make adversity your friend... Yeah... it was a line that made me think.
Fergus: You shouldn't give up just because nothing have changed. Adversity is your friend, Colin. You should become friends with your misfortunes. If you don't do that, won't you just be angry all the time?
I like sunflower. I want to plant sunflower. I like sunflower because it's blooms in the direction of the sun. It's like the sun, looking at it cheers you up. And I wanted to grow some food/crops too. There's value in that right? If you serve it deliciously. Somehow I feel that way.
I like this part a lot! When Aiba is talking about this... He's like really bright, positive, optimistic~ ^_^
Sho in Porori Bus
Erm, it starts off strange cuz there are some parts before this, but I just cut & paste the part that was requested xD Once again, the whole show will be subbed... soon :p
So basically in this show, Sho picks a card & answer the question written on it =) Kimura & Tetsuji are the hosts.
Narrator: The next card that he picked is - When a girl does this, my heart flutters. What kind of gesture/action makes Sakurai-san's heart flutter?
Sho: When a girl tidy/ties up her hair when it falls. Like when she is eating noodles...
Tetsuji: Yes, yes.
Sho: When she is eating noodles, her hair gets into the soup & she realises that she cannot eat like that, so she goes "Ah, I have no choice (but to sweep my hair away)" [does the action of sweeping the hair to the back]
Sho wifeys~! You know where to go on a date with Sho XDD ...Ramen restaurant! :p
Kimura: "No choice?" That's really detailed~ "No choice~" [sweeps hair back] But yeah, it's like when a girl is doing her work or something, she ties up her hair right?
Tetsuji: So does that mean you like girls with long hair?
Sho: AH! Oh yeah... it does imply that ne... But even if it's as short as Kimura-san's...
This is Kimura XD
Kimura: ME???
Tetsuji: There's only Kato Tokiko who is like that~
That's Kato Tokiko in the corner :p
That's all! :D And just a little update: I've also finished translating Maou DVD - the fun meeting & press conference part! It will be released in tsuribaka when the subbing is done! ^_^ I am also on my way to finishing the translations for Gakibara, a very old Arashi show, but it's worth watching! XD Will let you guys know when it's done! =))
