Last flamenco paper finished. And only an hour overdue and a page too long. I call that a success.

So choir retreat was fun, mostly. (I was secretly in one of those random can't-stand-myself modes, but I think I hid it well and managed to squish it enough to hang out with people. A quiet Saturday morning in my NEW HOME (pause for celebratory hand-clapping, because after three weeks the thrill hasn't nearly worn off yet), and I'm reminded that I usually do a beginning-of-semester, "here's all of the stuff I've piled on my plate and what I think about it so far" sort of a post. So, the year is now if not in full swing than at least several measures in to the A section. I think I've had conversations recently with most of the people who are generally most hungry for the random bits of news in my life, but in case I've missed some people:

All done with the Angelita Gomez workshop, with a full (slow) tangos dance and a lot more calf and upper-thigh muscle to show for it. (Please God let me retain it-- the dance and the muscle both.)
