Work was insanity today. So many people dropping in for a cup of coffee and a celebratory pastry after casting their votes at the nearby polling place. I don't think I've ever seen it so busy... even when we got mobbed by the Al Franken event, most of them were just hanging around waiting to hear him speak, not ordering things. Last night my housemate Laney, who is deep into the swing dance scene in the Twin Cities, hosted a blues dance party at Laurel House. Solomon Douglas, a friend of a friend, and apparently a fairly famous blues dancer, pianist and band leader, came to teach a workshop beforehand.

I wonder if I'll post nearly as many of these self-made memes once I've graduated. Certainly I can't imagine I will ever, ever post as many in a row as I have this past week. But I can't help myself, I think it's become a tic.
