Happy Birthday, sealily!!!
Today, for sealily's birthday, she, techservlib and I went down to Isaac's Way restaurant for brunch, then we took a walk down by the river. It's really weird, being that it's the 17th of December and we have no snow and most of the grass is green. The temperature was around +5C (41F). And the weather all week is supposed to be chilly but sunny, right through to the 24th (with that day having a possibility of rain showers). Hardly feels like it's only a week until Christmas.
After that we went up to the Regent Mall - to go to the cinema. We went to see Eragon. It's quite enjoyable. Both sealily & techservlb had read the books by Christopher Paolini upon which the film is based. I hadn't, so I hadn't much expectation other than seeing an interesting film. I must say I quite enjoyed it, though it would have been interesting to see Saphira a little bit longer as a young dragon. It was awful cute. However, it wouldn't really have moved the plot along if they hadn't 'fast-forwarded' the dragon's development.
Then I dropped the two of them to their respective homes before heading back to mine. We had another friend of mine wuthie and her daughter over for the afternoon. Gave them their Christmas presents and stuff, and we had dinner. Mom trimmed J's hair.
