I didn't yet find what the connection is, if there is one or it it's part of some other idea. But in any case, I did find this tonight looking up info on just what the FCC is supposed to do.
Now, because I cant for some reason cut and paste a pdf file, you'll have to actually go there if you want to look at it, but it's page 7 once you get past all the indexes. And what it boils down to is that each employee at the FCC makes on average $178,030.30. That's if I understand the table correctly, and I think I did.
What I don't understand from the information is how much of the money that they get comes from the fees and such that they charge. That was pretty hard to figure out. I just thought that it was interesting that they made that much money, given our fiscally tough times. And they are getting raises this year it looks like. Good for them!
So, where do the phones fit in to all this ... and why do I have to keep paying extra so that poor people can have cell phones?
