Plan B
Don't you hate it when someone screws up your plans and lets you down? Himself got together with his cousin and He was going to go over his cousin's tomorrow and sleep over, which was just perfect since it would mean I wouldn't have to drag him to the BBQ tomorrow. But at 9 I get a call from his step mom saying he didn't rake like he was supposed to, then he disappeared at the movies instead of waiting, so she canceled out. Ho hum. Himself is pissed, he hates it when stuff like this happens because he gets his hopes up and all. I'm pissed because I was all excited to be kid free for a day. As Grafix says 'Whatever!'
Biv was not at work today. She called in with a 'migraine'. Its about 'that time of the month' for her, which means a day off. She also got a bit more money than usual this week, and I've been expecting her to take off a day since Monday. But then she texted me to tell me she had gone to the Dr. and it's was another sinus infection. She has been sniffing a lot lately, but then I think she always does. Its a side affect of the cocaine I was told she did in the 80's. She also still smokes which her Doctor told her to stop. No thanks, I'll just keep at it so I can continue to get sick and come see you monthly. I wonder if she blew the money she had earned by going to the Dr. or if the state picks it up now? Does this mean she'll be off Monday too if she didn't get her period?
Well, it was nice to not have her in today at least. I found myself tapping on the desk for a moment and in that moment I remember my father doing exactly the same thing in exactly the same way.
The weather was lovely today. Warm enough to let you know it's summer, but dry and delightful, esp. after all this heat. I so hope we get a bit more of it. I know it's only just the end of July, but this endless string of heat is just horrible. I day or two of hot hot is bad enough, but day after day after day of 90 or more wears you down. I don't know how the people in the Middle East have the energy to fight at all. No wonder they want to commit suicide. Who wouldn't if they lived in that hell?
I found a cute cumber in my garden that I didn't know was there. I haven't picked it just yet. Hopefully the chipmonks don't get to it first. My pole beans are growing like crazy, but not a flower on them yet. My carrots are getting overrun by the cute cumbers, which by the way I didn't plant. Or at least I cant remember planting them.
The birds are loving my birdbath. It's so much fun to watch them come in and the antics they go through. But man alive, I wish they wouldn't shit in the thing. Control yourselves guys.
