Peace love and chickens
I was noticing today in the circulars how plentiful the peace image is these days. Is it a statement of today's youth, or just a fashion throw back?
I have to type quick since the fan gave out on the computer and it shut itself down a while ago. I'm using the regular fan to blow on it and cool it.
Chickens. I noticed that another family nearby has a chicken coop. That is three in the neighborhood that I know of.
I was cleaning out the shed today and sorting through some movies we will never watch and found a VHS tape of "the Man Without a Face". Mel Gibson in his better years.
Is the guy who runs BP named Murphy?
Hot day here, but with cooling winds and storms that took the temps down a bit. Never went over 89 I don't think, but after going down to the mid 70's, it's now back up to 79. Yuck for 11pm.
Obama made a comment about the continued unemployment benefits that I thought was pretty stupid. He compared the benefits to the tax cuts the Republicans gave out hand over fist. But as much as I get what he means, I hate to tell him, but a tax cut is not taking as much money out of a guy's pocket that earned it. An extension to the already extended unemployment benefit is taking tax money out of people's pockets to give to someone else. There really is no way to compare the two ideas.
Biv was at work today, but we left early after a crack of thunder and the promise of a storm that never really came in. She's terrified of thunderstorms.
I went for a 2 mile bike ride today, just for the heck of it. I love the bike I bought from my uncle, but it doesn't go into the third set of gears. I need to see about that. Still, it was good to get out. I'll feel it in my legs tomorrow though.
