Lots of noticeable body lesions now. He's already been sprayed with Micro-tek, hense the wet appearance.

I clipped the hair off on his legs, and the wounds were really painful.

I've never seen a case this bad before. Rain rot has always been something relatively minor that you wash it with Betadine a time or two and it clears itself up ( Read more... )

So far so good. He's recovering well - today I'm going to put him under saddle and see how he goes. I think he's thin enough that I can use the dressage saddle again, so yay! He won't be jumping for at least two weeks anyway.
