Sleep is for the weak and childless....
Ironically, Alex himself has been down since about 10:30. John and I are currently attempting to put our childproofing into place so that the place isn't the dangerous deathtrap it was. The new, drawer-lockable entertainment centre we picked up came with a hiccup, though. The base on our flat screen is a foot wide. The shelf on the unit for the tv base is six inches wide. The solution? We're going to mount the TV to the backboard instead, so I don't need to worry about Alex pulling anything over on himself. All of John's Warhammer gear is going to be locked into child proof cupboards- he's adding the doors to the bookcase now. Tomorrow, we add the doors to the big bookcases, and then go buy the TV mount. I've managed to organize and store all the controllers, batteries, and misc bits and pieces for the gaming systems in the lockable drawers, and the systems themselves go into handy slots out of his reach.
At any rate, need to go and fuel my hardworking man. Need to sleep here soon, too. Blech.
