Which only clears the way for Jack and Gwen to get together.

Not to mention, they've killed off all of the original cast except Jack and Gwen now. Jack is exceptionally incompetent when it comes to dying, and considering Gwen was set up as the main character since the first episode, I doubt they're killing her off any time soon.
