[School] WHAT??
I hate this stupid book already.
It's a class and a book all about JavaScript, and it's like... what??? What the HELL is this book talking about? What it's telling me is making no sense, and even though I'm supposed to be learning about JavaScript, how it works and how to write it, I have a sneaking suspicion this book assumes I already know the basics of how JavaScript works and what it does.
Also, instructions to write code in a file in a situation in which you would not actually want to write that particular script simply for the sake of showcasing how to write the script... not helpful. Really. Sure, I know what the script looks like, but I really have no freaking clue how it was function in the situation it's actually supposed to be written for, not really.
Also, it doesn't help to have me write JavaScript code to do things for which I wouldn't actually use JavaScript at all, but XHTML or CSS. GRAH!
And telling me thie JavaScript will "print" the content of a certain heading on the page, or "collect" information does no good at all if that's not actually what the script you're telling me to write will do. AND I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT IT MEANS.
