[Fandom] Kushiel's Dart

Jun 15, 2008 09:57

Having finished Kushiel's Mercy a great deal sooner than I thought I would (and for those two of you interested, I will post about it soon enough), and found myself wanting to continue to immerse myself in that world, I'm rereading Kushiel's Dart again.

It's incredibly amusing to read Joscelin's introduction, and how resentful and stuck up and stiff he was, knowing what I know about how he ends up. ^_____^ Incredibly amusing. It makes me want to giggle.

Also, though Joscelin in Dart but most especially in Kushiel's Chosen annoys the ever-loving crap out of me to the point I wish he were real so I could beat him, I've decided finally that he redeems himself enough in Avatar and is a solid enough presence in Imriel's books, that I forgive him his youthful stupidity.

It's also rather amusing that I've forgiven a fictional character for being an ass. Which he is in Dart and Chosen. Especially Chosen. Dear gods, I want to smack the shit out of him in that book.

Am done now.
