So, I finished NaNo with just over 60,000 words. I feel pretty good about that but I'm still only halfway through this story. So, as I mentioned before, I will be NaNoing in December as well. My goal is to finish this first draft by New Years ( Read more... )

So, today is one of the big US holidays of the year. Luckily for me no traveling is involved. It's stay at home with the day off from work (I actually took this week off) with tons of food eating later on.

As I'm also doing NaNo for the first time today also included some writing. Today has produced about 3000 words bringing my NaNo total to:

So, I just crossed the 50,000 word mark in my NaNo project, so apparently I've won. While that's pretty cool, I'm still just shy of the halfway mark in this project and I need to finish this first draft before returning to my WIP as the specific events, especially surrounding this project's end scenes are pivotal to the plot of my WIP ( Read more... )

So, I did something last night I haven't done in more than a decade. I wrote a couple of thousand words for my NaNo project, copied the whole thing and pasted it into NaNo's word count validator, then went back to my MS Word document to close it...and I accidentally hit "No" when prompted to save and then quickly hit "No" again when asked if I ( Read more... )

Just popping in for yet another NaNo update. I've just started what would be Part Two of the novel, at which time I expand from two POV characters to four.

So, it's been a couple of days since my last NaNo update.

Still plugging away.

NaNo continues. Progress has slowed a little bit due to crazy work hours lately, but I'm coming along fine.

So, 9 days in and here's my progress bar:

So, I finished Day 5 of NaNo earlier in the evening. I'm still awake as I have an IT update in the middle of the night (in about 2 hours from now) but I finished my writing for the night a couple of hours ago. Since then I watched a bunch of Corner Gas episodes on the DVR.
