First there was her "I'll just try to keep Tina Fey in business" and now she wants to mock Ms Fey herself? Up yours, Sarah Palin. You're a Class-A moron and you can eat my poo. So there. ("I want to be done playing this lady by November 5." YES PLZ. Except that would stop the lulz, but.)

Also, this ad. So many awesome people.

I love the fact that the Vegemite Census ads declare that it's what "the nation needs to know". Financial crisis? Pfft. Just as long as I know whether you're a wormer or a streaker, o'course.

Oh, I bet you Sarah Wayne Callies is so enjoying having sekritly coerced PBHQ into giving her all these smokin' wardrobe changes. OUT WITH THE HOODIES I TELL YOU.

Aww. They dedicated last night's Spicks & Specks behind-the-scenes episode to Rob Guest. And the show - gold! I love Geoffrey Rush: "Thank you, Godfather!"

GUH. Dear Universe/God/The Powers That Be, please find me one perhaps twenty years younger. Not because I wouldn't want him "just as he is", but then people might think he's some sort of predator and I wouldn't want that. That is all. Love, me.

And I've stolen this from hollywoodgrrl because she's funky like that. (Sorry for all the Palin-ness in this entry, but it can't be helped, it brings the lulz.)

SERIOUSLY YOU GUYS, I WOULD SEE THAT. Then they should turn it into a musical - because just like the Beaconsfield miners and Shane Warne, that's when you know you've made it.

This be the all-important weekly Cooper and Violet - well, Private Practice - flail party BECAUSE OH, THIS SHOW.

Private Practice, 2x02 "Equal and Opposite"

1. Sam answering the phone: "What, Addison?" I should try that one day, just for kicks.

2. When the couple were saying how it was "like looking into a mirror; same interests, same CDs, same books, same movies..." I was like, "OMG THEY'RE FRATERNAL TWINS." I'm kinda glad they weren't, although to be honest it wouldn't have made much difference. And I felt so bad for them; I was agreeing with Addison and Violet. They weren't brought up as siblings. Although Naomi did make a good point: were they close because they found love, or because they were genetically similar? Oh, you PP dilemmas, you make me ponder.

3. This show has the tendency of taking clothing from Prison Break. ( Exhibit A from almost a year ago.) Exhibit B:

And like last time, Dr Sara Tancredi wears it so much better.

4. While we're talking superficial things, all the women looked especially pretty in this episode. And this is, like, the show with the prettiest people ever. So that's saying something. I might icon this one, especially since endlesssearch06 wanted more Addie icons and I don't particularly want to study for exams.

5. "Incest trumps equipment hiding." Heh. And can I say? Addie. Is. Great. You knew it, I knew it, but sometimes it needs to be reinforced and reiterated. BUT SHE IS. Her voicemail message? Love. Sometimes her great rambling speeches fail me, but this one was bloody good. HAI, ADDIE, YOU'RE BACK. ILU.

6. "Life is not ass-fat." I might make that into a bumper sticker. I'm just saying.

7. "I'm furious." "I know." "I'm going to be furious for a very long time." "I know." "This is hate-sex." "I know." OH, SAM. OH, NAOMI. I love them, I really really do. And we got to see Taye take his shirt off again, so no complaints from moi.

8. I missed Dell. I want the others to miss him too, apart from Pete who only wanted him to help lift the defatulator. (I want to patent that word.) We needed some younger spunk, the place was unbalanced without him. He really is "the hub of the Oceanside wheel".

COOPER AND VIOLET GET THEIR OWN SPECIAL SECTION.

The lice-washing scene - which I know sounds really lovely, doesn't it? - almost made me cry. It was just beautiful and reminded me of their scene in 1x08: "I will always be able to talk to you about someone else, but I can't talk to you about you. I don't know how to talk to you about us." which is one of my favourites because the walls are down. This one was even more than that. I can't find a word for it - but, yeah.

But I'll backtrack slightly.

"Cooper, I just want to say that if there is something you want to tell me, but you're afraid to tell me, you can tell me anyway. I won't get mad. We're friends. I'm your friend. So, is there anything you would like to not keep secret? I'm open."
"Do we have to share every detail? Do we have to be joined at the hip? We're not twelve."
"Oh, glad you could clear that up for me. I was so sure we were twelve."

Her face. Oh, Cooper, you did this to her. I love you, and you know that, but you did this to her.

"I know you're lying to me. You know you're lying to me. We both know - and yet, lying! What is wrong with you?"

"This sucks, Cooper. I used to like coming to work. Used to like to talk to you, tell you everything, vice versa. It all sucks. All you do it lie."

I know he eventually relents, but I have to wonder about what's going on in Cooper's mind. He can clearly see this is hurting Violet and yet he's still refusing to tell her, risking their entire friendship. I thought he held more value to that - well, I know he does - but recently it appears that he cares more for Charlotte's request than Violet's. And I know that's not strictly true, but that's what it looks like. I guess my question is, how far is he willing to sacrifice Violet for someone else? And what would he do when he finds out she's not there? Just like she found that out last week.

"It's killing me not telling you, so I'm telling you: I'm sleeping with Charlotte King." "Thank you."

Because I'm a bad person who can't think eloquent thoughts, I'm copying and pasting what stop_theworld wrote without permission (sorry, darl, but take it as a compliment?) but seriously, I can't express it better:
Her shampooing his head, because he needs her, and so she goes to him. "There is no one else I would let do this for me." "That's supposed to make me feel special?" And then he breaks open. And her face is a mask and she's silent, and Cooper might be in love with someone who's not her. And then - "Thank you." <--- that's basically what I wanted to say.

Sigh. And on a general ending note, Violet was incredible this week. In-cred-i-ble.

I KNOW THIS WAS SUPER-SUPER LONG AND I'M SORRYYYY. I'll give you all cookies just because? Okay, then. Over and out.
