We had *much* better weather in the Faroes than expected (i.e., not wall-to-wall cloud). We didn't see totality, though it did become spookily dark. We did see most of the return, including a snippet at about 98% totality and essentially everything from about 75% eclipsed to 0% eclipsed.

So, I may have failed to say, on the grounds of March having crept up on me unawares[*], but this weekend we're off to the Faroes for a week to see a total solar eclipse. (It turns out my bucket list is full of astronomical/meteorological/geological phenomena.) SO EXCITED ( Read more... )
