I'm a little giddy because I finished my yuletide story and found a beta when my friend got the flu, and got it posted and it wasn't like 11:58p on the deadline. I actually finished and one day ahead of schedule, with a read through edit.

25,404 words-with a real beginning, middle and end. *collapses exhausted*

So, I'll put it away for a month or so and see how it looks to me then. I'm pretty frickin' proud of myself though. There may be hope for that novel yet.

Which last year I was a dismal failure at-8,000 of the 50k, original fic. This year it's all about the baby steps. I'm not officially participating, but I am aiming for a 25k fanfic novella ( Read more... )

I'm totally, totally failing NaNo. Still about 500 words a day. Still not sure what's what. General outline, but no real cohesive feel to the story for me ( Read more... )

So on the bright side, I simmed my characters and their bios so I at least have an idea of who they are. Still no idea of where the hell this is going or how though.
