should be going to bed...

Yeyness, ADP boys and two of us WILG girls played frisbee this evening, and my team won! Much sweating was suffered on each side :) I talked a little with a summer boarder at ADP, Justin. In a word: yum. Tomorrow is my last day of working freely before Blaine (my advisor) comes back. I've been productive, but I can't say I've worked too many ( Read more... )

I couldn't agree with you more! It seems so hard to be a Christian with strong views in today's society of liberalism and outright boldness. We are part of what some would consider a dying minority, but I like to think of it as an strong and rising populace with possibilities abounding. I used to work in a nursing home, in the Alzheimer's unit, and I do not support stem cell research. There are certain things that just should not be messed with. Stay strong, Cristina! You are wonderful and your beliefs are not wrong!
Oh! I promise to pray for Angelin!

Love,
Katelyn

PS: I miss you! We should hang out...soon!!!

So wonderful to hear from you! I just got news from Abbie that Angelin is in much more stable condition. There is even a chance she will come home tonight. Ah, power of prayer! The deal was that she had a virus, and as a consequence, fluid built up around her heart and lungs. She went to the ER, but the doctors released her to a room in the hospital. CCC people have been keeping with her.

I miss you, as well! Holly, a girl from WILG, and I are going to see Shrek 2 on Friday, and you are welcome to come along. Otherwise, I have no other plans for the weekend if Friday doesn't work for you. Or some other time would be dandy, as well :)

I hope the job is going well for you. I guess as you can see from my entries, my UROP is great. Well, I must shower, so stinky from today's weather!

Love,
Cristina

Hehe... I was checking out your live journal today and I noticed your comment about being a "faithless idiot" from the nice little quiz that you guys took a couple weeks ago at Bible study. If it helps any, I know that I fight a lot with the fact that I feel stupid around some of the CCC guys because they have soooo much head knowledge about the Bible! My encouragement to you, though, is to be more concerned with following Jesus than knowing about Him. I mean, don't get me wrong, knowledge about the Bible is good, and we're supposed to spend time in it to learn about God, but there are many people in the world who know what the Bible says but don't know God. In Mark 1, when Jesus is calling his first disciples, He doesn't tell them to go read the scriptures and learn all about the prophecies concerning His life; He tells them to follow Him ( ... )

Abbie, thank you so much. I am constantly amazed by the big heart God has blessed you with. The way you share your faith so freely is encouragement to me to get more excited about God's love.
I do have to remind myself from time to time that living the Word, not necessarily remembering all the nitty-gritties of it, is what is important. I'm only human, and I know God understands that. Hopefully in time remembering the details will be less difficult; I just need to remember what is important. Thanks again!
