Yeyness, ADP boys and two of us WILG girls played frisbee this evening, and my team won! Much sweating was suffered on each side :) I talked a little with a summer boarder at ADP, Justin. In a word: yum. Tomorrow is my last day of working freely before Blaine (my advisor) comes back. I've been productive, but I can't say I've worked too many hours since he's been gone. It gave me a chance to buy/mail my dad's father's day gift and finally set up a CD for the paltry sum of money I earned last summer. The bank clerk was fairly impressed by an 18-year-old looking to start earning returns on her retirement fund.
Last night we had our first Bible study of the summer for Campus Crusade. The leader of the discussion gave us a quiz on Biblical knowledge; I felt like a faithless idiot. I'm trying to be a better Christian and to work on my faith, but, boy, am I lacking. I definitely don't read enough of the bible. Still, it's always so nice to get together with fellow Christians and share faith. With Republicans supporting stem cell research and people from all sides supporting abortion, sometimes I feel like it's the world against me. Our meetings remind me that there are others who hold the same views that I do. My grandmother is dying of Alzheimer's and my little cousin has Down's Syndrome; don't tell me my views are selfish and narrow-minded.
I continue to love living at WILG. My fellow wilgababes rule :) I really miss Inna, though. She was supposed to be back weeks ago, but no one has seen her. I'm sure she is fine, but I do so miss her. In fact, writing that just inspired me to E mail her. I hope everything is all right. I miss Ashley, my Old Wise One, as well. I keep meaning to call her, but somehow I haven't yet. Dang, I really should get to bed! But before I go, let me ask a favor of you. Even though you may not know her, please, please, please pray for Angelin Baskaran (a girl in CCC). She has had a virus go terribly wrong, and she's not doing so very well right now, to spare you the details. Please, keep her in your prayers.
Love,
Cristina
