Yeyness, ADP boys and two of us WILG girls played frisbee this evening, and my team won! Much sweating was suffered on each side :) I talked a little with a summer boarder at ADP, Justin. Hehe... I was checking out your live journal today and I noticed your comment about being a "faithless idiot" from the nice little quiz that you guys took a couple weeks ago at Bible study. If it helps any, I know that I fight a lot with the fact that I feel stupid around some of the CCC guys because they have soooo much head knowledge about the Bible! My encouragement to you, though, is to be more concerned with following Jesus than knowing about Him. I mean, don't get me wrong, knowledge about the Bible is good, and we're supposed to spend time in it to learn about God, but there are many people in the world who know what the Bible says but don't know God. In Mark 1, when Jesus is calling his first disciples, He doesn't tell them to go read the scriptures and learn all about the prophecies concerning His life; He tells them to follow Him.

I've grown up in a Christian home, and from the time I was 5 I could quote more scripture than most of my Christian friends can today, knew every book of the Bible, and had read it all, but until I gave up my will for my life and decided to follow God, it was all worthless. Knowing God's Word is more important than knowing about God's word.

I hope that encourages you! My prayer for your life is out of Ephesians 3:16-19 - "I pray that out of his glorious riches he may strengthen you with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your [heart] through faith. And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge - that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God."

Abbie, thank you so much. I am constantly amazed by the big heart God has blessed you with. The way you share your faith so freely is encouragement to me to get more excited about God's love.
I do have to remind myself from time to time that living the Word, not necessarily remembering all the nitty-gritties of it, is what is important. I'm only human, and I know God understands that. Hopefully in time remembering the details will be less difficult; I just need to remember what is important. Thanks again!
