So I played Guitar Hero III over at Sam's club a couple weeks back, and I was hooked after one song. I've got to get a copy of this game, but the bundles with guitars are pretty much sold out everywhere. Bought some Ruby Tuesday today. Another suggestion from "The 100 best stocks you can buy". At less than 10 times earnings it was just too hard to pass up. At this price I'm catching a 3.8% dividend yield as well. Very respectable. Also, Harvest Trust had taken a bit of a drop from where I bought at. Pfizer is still a great price, one of the lowest multiples in the drug industries,so we picked up a bit of that. GE, while not especially cheap, also isn't overpriced, so I added just a bit more of that too. I've been getting this book each October since the 2005 edition. I've found it really useful for educating myself on a variety of different companies out there. The author has an excellent ability to choose stocks, in addition, he adds detailed information on each company's dividend and earnings history.

Picked up some new Buffett stocks; Burlington Northern Santa Fe, General Electric, Johnson and Johnson, Wellpoint Inc, and some more USG. Also I caught that the price on Pfizer was fantastic so I grabbed some of that, and brought back Kinder Morgan Energy Partners back into the mix. I've been out shopping for a new bond fund and there were a couple of Nuveen ETFs I ran across, wonder if anyone had opinions about either of these. The first is Their "Mulit-strategy income and growth fund" (JPC). Seems to invest in a variety of bond issues including high-yield items. A very nice yield at 8.7%, with monthly cash payments.
