It's almost the end of the semester for my two classes. The exam for the UNIX class that meets on Monday has to be submitted (on-line thru Blackboard) by next Friday. It involves writing three short programs - or rather the same program in three different languages. I still need to do some of the assignments from a couple of chapters before starting, though.
The PL/SQL exam will be in class next Wednesday evening. The instructor posted practice problems earlier this week that I need to go through. Those usually take quite a bit of time, too.
In between exam deadlines, I have two meetings next Thursday - one a luncheon and the other our Baronial business meeting in the evening.
That's why Donal is going to Crown this weekend alone.

Today is laundry and studying. I also need to figure out what bills need to be paid this week. Tomorrow I get to spend the day at the car dealer getting the big van's wiring repaired. (see
donal_mac_r 's posts about Blackstone Raids this past weekend). I'll use the time to write checks, do whatever studying I can do without the computer, and, hopefully, get in some hand-sewing.

Speaking of sewing . . .
At the library demo on Saturday I finished the eyelets on my linen shift. All it needs now is to make the ties, probably with the lucet.
I started the seams for the skirt of the dark red linen kirtle. Last Friday I ordered some heavy linen to use as interlining in the bodice. It was shipped yesterday. I'll cut the bodice after I get that. It's based on the RH 208 pattern and what I've learned over the last 30 years.

Edit: The service manager called to say they had a couple of mechanics out this week - could I move the repairs to Monday? Nothing like a change of plans, is there? By then, I will have done most of the off-the-computer studying.
