I just bought my BurningMan 2009 ticket. :)

Last weekend we moved Sa_briel to Eureka to start her stint at HSU. I made her a pretty cool lofted bed frame to maximize her cubby of a room. It's going okay.

Before the holidays, I agreed to handle sound and projection for the next Riverfront Playhouse show, "Same time, next year". ( more... )

It is one thing to be standing at the exit door after a performance and have the audience say you did a good job as they walk past, possibly shaking your hand, etc - that can easily be lip-service that they feel compelled to give since you're standing there. I am predicting a busy acting schedule for the next five months. It sounds like I'm going to get a part in the next play at the Riverfront Theatre, which will run through the beginning of October, plus I intend to be a part of the Fall semester production at Shasta College (which I hear is supposed to be A Mid-Summer Night's Dream - but don't quote ( Read more... )

Okay, I'm most usually upbeat, but this really bums me out. The local private play house, the Riverfront Playhouse, is doing a production of A Doll's House next. For the characters of either Torvald or Nils, I think I have the part made, and I went to audition tonight. The problem is that I went at 8pm, and the auditions were at 6:30. Owen Wilson needs two things; a good action flick without any real comedy where he's just a bad ass with a bad ass voice and personality, and a good drama story-based movie where he can be a normal human without being a goofball or wacko.
