After my post the other day about my underwhelming experience at the LitPunch "mixer", several people replied and talked about having similar experiences / feelings. That was really very comforting for me, knowing that I'm not alone in feeling uncomfortable in a group, even when I know them.

Other than any end-of-year book memes I can find, this is the closest thing to a 2011 recap here: the highlights of my year were visiting little_tristan and having sara_merry99 and ashatteredday come through town and stay overnight. The low point of the year was the loss of Mr. Catyah's grandma.
