You know, I could get used to this 4-day workweek thing. It's really the perfect length! Of course, convincing my superiors of this fact doesn't seem like it would work. This is why instead, I am letting my fingers take a break from mundane SQL statements and suchlike and letting them wander over LJ-land.
This weekend is going to be a good balance of all sorts of fun - laid-back, old-school, pizza-pile group fun, Ikea/etc. shopping trip with
kdaq, super-crazy-roller-coaster group fun at Six Flags New England. Oh yeah, and doing laundry. Because that's the most fun of all. Ok, not smelling like a dirty longhair is actually pretty fun. So I guess indirectly it is fun! Yay!
Tonight's pizza-pile will include an attempt to reverse-engineer the Blue Pizza from Boomer's in Worcester. This should be a fun experiment. Even if it doesn't come out the same, how can one really go wrong with buffalo tenders and blue cheese on pizza? That's right, I don't know either! I definitely want try and reverse-engineer more recipes, and no fair buying those "101 Top Secret Recipes Revealed ZOMG!!!1" books. I especially want to be badass enough to reverse-engineer spice blends in general, but most notably, Indian. I just can't get Indian-from-scratch quite right yet. That I think I'll break down and get a cookbook for. In general though, I wanna be able to better tell what flavor is missing from a recipe, and fix it. Ah well, practice makes tasty!
POW, right in the 20 mins left in this workweek!
